Two-factor authentication (2FA) through Invoice2go offers an additional layer of security. If your account is connected to Xero, and you are located in Australia, 2FA will be mandatory to log in to Invoice2go in order to comply with ATO's requirements for digital service providers.
How does 2FA work?
With 2FA, each time you log in to your Invoice2go account, an email or SMS text message will be sent to you asking you to confirm your identity.
How can I enable or disable 2FA?
If you are an Invoice2go user located in Australia and use our Xero integrations, 2FA will automatically be enabled and can not be disabled without first disconnecting Xero from your Invoice2go account. However, if you do not fit this criterion but would like to enable 2FA, please refer to the below steps.

- Tap the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Under Security, toggle on Two-factor authentication
- 2FA will now be enabled on your account and will be prompted on subsequent logins
