With email phishing scams on the rise, businesses big and small need to be aware of how to protect themselves from the various attacks in circulation, and what to do should they fall victim. We have been aware of recent attempts made from a phishing attempt to send users of Invoice2go clients invoices from an unknown business, and the attacker may be using these emails to obtain payment or payment information from our users.
We have no reason to believe the attackers obtained any account credentials for Invoice2go from our databases nor that payment account numbers were obtained. We take the privacy and security of your account very seriously, and have initiated an investigation implementing steps to control the situation. We’ll be posting more information soon about what to look out for, and how you can protect your business and your customers from these types of scams.
