What is a Custom Share Message?
A custom share message is the pre-populated text that will appear when a website visitor clicks to share your website on their social media account (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
For example, you can change your message to say something along the lines of,
"Hey! Check out this company. They're trusted by over 50,000 users nationwide!"
Users will be able to edit the message, but it could give them a good place to start. If you do not have a custom share message, that's okay. Users will be presented with the link to your website when they go to share it and can type out their own message around it.
Adding Custom Share Messages
- From the home page of the Invoice2go web app, click on Instant websites on the side navigation menu to go to the Instant Websites dashboard
- Click on Edit website
- Hover over the Share Section, and then click on the Section Settings button in the top left corner of the section
- If you do not already have a Share section on your Instant Website, scroll down to the bottom, click on Add section, and then click on Share
- The left sidebar will adjust to show Section Settings for the Share section. Enter your desired share message in the first field where it says Custom Share Message. Your new text will be auto-saved within seconds.
Note: Your page URL or custom domain will automatically be added to the message when shared.
