Accept Tips

Tips give your customers the option to leave a suggested or custom tip amount.

Giving your customers a way to thank you is a great way to build relationships and increase your revenue. Small business owners already using this feature, on average, have been receiving a tip amount of 17%.

Sounds great! How do I turn tips on?

To allow customers to add tips when paying an invoice, simply refer to the following steps,

  1. Tap on the Profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Tap on Client payment options
  3. Toggle on Allow tips
    • The tips feature will only be available if you accept online payments, so first make sure you have this turned on.

  1. Click on your Company name in the top right corner
  2. Click on Account and settings
  3. Click on Client payment options
  4. Toggle on Allow tips
  5. Click Save

How does someone tip you?

Simply send your customer an invoice with online payment methods enabled (debit card, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay).

When they select ‘View invoice’, they’ll be taken to the payments portal where they can choose to add a tip before making a payment.

Please note, tips are subject to online processing fees

Hot tip

Adding a comment like the one below on your invoices could increase your chance of receiving a tip.

“Tips are welcome. You can easily add one when paying by card.”

Please note, customers will not have the option to leave a tip on an invoice that includes a deposit request.
