Legislation has come into effect that impacts debit and credit card transaction fees in the United Kingdom.

Under the Payment Services Directive (PSD2), it is now illegal for any business to charge a customer extra for using a debit or credit card in the UK. This includes passing on the debit or credit card processing fee to a customer.

Before you use the fee pass-through feature in Invoice2go, make sure you are familiar with applicable laws and regulations in your area for passing transaction fees on to customers.

How do I turn off fee pass-through in my account?

If you believe PSD2 applies to your customers, or if you would otherwise like to turn off the fee pass-through feature, you will need to follow these steps to disable it:

iOS and Android

1. Tap on the Profile icon in the top right corner
2. Tap Client payment options
3. Toggle off the option to Add online fee

Web

1. Click on your company name in the top right corner
2. Click on Account & settings
3. Click on Client payment options
4. Toggle off the option to Add online fee
5. Click on Save
