How to add a PDF Attachment to your Documents

For times when you need to send your customers information in addition to your invoices, such as terms and conditions, PDF attachments can be added to your documents to include this information. Please note, at this time this feature is only available for documents that are emailed, and PDF attachments cannot be added to documents sent via SMS text message. To add a PDF attachment to a document, please refer to the following steps. 

iOS 

  1. Go to the document section you wish to add an attachment to (invoices, estimates, purchase orders, credit memos)
  2. Open the document you wish to add an attachment to, or create a new document
    • If this is a new document, tap on the green next button to be brought to the preview & manage screen after you’ve added the document details
  3. Below the preview of your document, tap on the Paperclip icon Screen_Shot_2020-12-10_at_8.15.07_AM.png
  4. Select the PDF document you want to attach to your document (Limit 20MB)
  5. Tap Send
  6. Tap Email + attachments
    • This will generate an email to your client with the PDF attached to the bottom of the email. It will not be on the actual document that you send

Web

  1. Go to the document section you wish to add an attachment to (invoices, estimates, purchase orders, credit memos)
  2. Open the document you wish to add an attachment to, or, create a new document
    • If this is a new document, click on the Preview tab after you have added your document details in the Create tab
  3. Under the section labeled Attachments, click on the Paperclip icon
  4. Select the PDF document you want to attach to your document (Limit 20MB)
    • You will now see the document under the Attachments section
  5. Click Send
    • Please note, the PDF will be attached to the bottom of the email itself. It will not be on the actual document that you send
    • When you are ready to send your document, click on the Send (invoice, estimate, purchase order, credit memo) button on the right side of the screen
