If your customer partially pays your invoice online, we will automatically record the payment.
Additionally, you can manually record transactions if your customers pay another way (e.g., they pay with cash or a check). If you record a partial payment for your invoice, the invoice will apply the payment and will automatically calculate the remaining balance due.
iOS and Android
- Tap Invoices and open the invoice you would like to add a partial payment to
- Tap Record payment
- Enter the payment amount
- Enter the method of payment (e.g. cash, check, credit card)
- Enter the payment date
- Enter notes related to the payment
- Tap Save

- Click on Invoices and open the invoice you would like to add a partial payment to
- Click on either the Preview or Send tab
- On the right side of the screen, click on Add payment
- Enter the payment amount
- Enter method of payment (e.g. cash, check, credit card)
- Enter the payment date
- Enter notes related to the payment
- Click on Add payment
